I Mean, C'mon

I'm kicking back on a day off before I start a new gig, and I'm watching an old SNL on E!, and here comes a promo for Ryan Seacrest joining E!News.

Someone please tell me: what discernable talent does Ryan Seacrest bring to the table? Really, what talent does he have? It's like Bob and Tom. What talent do they have other than the ability to laugh moronically at Chick and their other guests?

Just wondering.

His talent is he had the guts to try out for a spot on tv. Kind of like American Idol. There are tons of great singers out there, but these people have the guts to lay it all out on tv to be critized. And amen to Mr. Hartig's comment.

Thank you for bringing up Bob and Tom. I've tried listening to them and I guess I just don't get it. One guy says something borderline funny and the other guy unleashes this nasty sounding smokers laugh.

Aren't they also responsible for the "Git-R-Done" guy? That alone should be a reason for deportation.

1. I agree with Mazr

2. Seacrest is a professional celebrity. He used to be one of the hosts on C-NET TV along with Desmond Crisis and Soledad O'Brien.

Seacrest is indeed a professional celebrity, and he did indeed have the guts to try out for a spot. But again, I ask, what's his actual talent? At least Joe Rogan can tell dirty jokes. I don't how many of the "reality show" hosts got their gigs. I guess the no-talent, get a show phenomenon started when Bob Saget got a sitcom AND a funny video show.

Has there ever been anyone unfunnier than Saget?

Too bad you guys can't listen to The Big Show. When I was in Indiana, I listened to Bob and Tom, and these guys are waaay better. These guys are responsible for this guy, and I am eternally grateful. /:D\

I personally brought The Big Show to Peoria in 2000 on Fire 97, but in the fall of 2001, Regent acquired that station and several others, dropping The Big Show and eventually firing me.

You're right, when The Big Show wasn't being political it was the funniest show in town. Legitimate comedy by the hosts, unlike Bob and Tom's smoker's laughs at their guests, who are the true stars of that show.
